No Permit

On every campus I know, parking spaces are at a premium and enforcement can be brutal. You may get away with cutting a class or two, and cheating on a test will get you an "F", but taking a full-time faculty parking spot has serious consequences. :-J

Vintage

It would be hard to guess the vintage of this photo
(except for the signs and the curb paint and the building on the right with an air conditioner and the reflections in its windows and ...).

Caption Needed
There is a great caption for this photo, but I don't know what it is.
If you think of it, leave a comment.

Fair Parade

A somewhat shorter parade than usual this year because of the fires that started yesterday afternoon in the Feather River Canyon. The Forest Service is busy fighting them, and the associated road closure prevented some from getting here.
Look here for last year's parade.

On Main

Sloopee hangin' on at the Carey Candy Co.
(Yes, I know it's Sloopy - I was a sophomore in college and living in Ohio when this was it;
but the license plate is SLOOPEE.)

Willys

If you're lucky, you can sometimes spot the Willys Jeepster in the reserved parking across from the Post Office.

My parents had a 1948 Willys Jeep Wagon, a blue woodie. It's the first car I remember - from before we moved to the suburbs, before brothers; almost until I was allowed to ride my bike to school and they started building interstate highways. We crossed the US several times in it. I got to nap in the back across South Dakota, except of course for the Badlands and Mount Rushmore.
