Not your urban landscaping

My camera is on vacation (here, here, & here), but this photo from a Breaking News story on the local newspaper website shows what a little bit of rain and frost can do when properly applied. This is a few miles down the main road from Q-topia to the valley of fruits and nuts.

Gingerbread

Architectural gingerbread I see walking from home to the Post Office and back. It is kind of sad in a way that current building styles lack gratuitous touches of non-functional craftsmanship.
